For a GTX 1050ti, there is really no point unless you are play esports games (CS:GO, Fortnite, Valorant) and you need 144 - 240 FPS.

Even then you’re better off going with a Ryzen 3 3300x since you have to get a new motherboard

Kogan 144hz monitor (Overclocked to 165) Ryzen 3 3100, RX 580 Gigabyte Windforce (1450 mhz) 2 x 8GB CL15 DDR4 3133 (Overclocked from 2400) Phanteks P300 white (RGB set to purple), Zarrius Deskpad (I have the yellow one), Razer Deathadder Essential, CK62 wireless (don’t use it wireless)

Well you'll need a new board and a new set of ram as well..

Wait for zen 3 and check what it has to offer and decide, the 1050ti will hold you back though because well it's not the most capable card so you can also look at upgrading that, but I wouldn't get a locked Intel chip in all honesty and I wouldn't get a b or an h series boards for LGA 1200..

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

you got a pretty nice combo mainly for esports titles

a new cpu would require a new mobo and a new ram kit but that 1050 ti will most likely bottleneck a 10600.

personally, i would never get a locker intel chip because its not worth it for the long run and its just a couple more bucks for a 'k' version.

get a 10600k, a good z490 motherboard and 16gb of ram, somewhere between 320mhz cl16 and 4000mhz cl18

personally, i have a 10600k and i upgraded from an i5 3550. its a mad upgrade.

my 3550 was holding back my 2080 so the difference was big

for example: on wd2 on max settings i had 50 fps, on very high i had 50 fps, on medium i had 50 fps, of low i had 60 fps. and now after upgrading my trio i have 80-90 fps on ultra.

a cpu is a very important part in getting high frames but youll also need a stronger card to go with a 10600/10600k
