Do my AIO fans need to match the case fans?

Danny Peak

Should I get fans that match my case (pure Base 500) to replace the fans on my AIO (Cooler Master Seidon 240v)

I don’t know much about air flow but I’ve heard maintaining a neutral air pressure is important and different fans push different amounts of air

no. they dont need to be the same.

PS: positive pressure is usually better because it keeps dust out of your system.

What would be the best way to setup the fans

i.e where should the 240mm radiator and the 2 120mm case fans go

is this the pure base 500 or the pure bas 500dx?

What cpu/gpu?

Normal pb 500 and it’s just an ASUS 1050Ti

As there is no transparent side panel, I would go for more performance arranged fans rather than better looking configuration. set up the AIO at the top of the case as exhaust, a fan at the back as intake and then a fan at the lower front area as intake for the GPU. So you have 2 fans as intake and 2 as exhaust. if the intake is slightly fast RPM than the exhaust, then you get positive pressure.
