Windows is fully functional on a hard drive, just slow. I have a Chromebook with some fairly slow eMMC storage, still slow. Chrome OS won't magically make the drive faster.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Chrome OS runs better but sucks in every other way.

You can only downlaod programs from chrome web store.

only web browser is chrome.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

ChromeOS won't make your HDD faster and it you just want a better experience on an older PC turn off all Windows 10 animations and backround stuff or use some lightweight linux

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

That hasn't been true for a long time. ChromeOS now has access to the full suite of Android apps in the Play Store, and you can run Linux CLI and apps on it as well. If you want an alternate web browser for example, you can actually choose between say the Firefox Android app or the Firefox full desktop Linux app.

ChromeOS is great if you accept it for what it is. It's not a full OS replacement, and isn't intended to be. You're not getting Photoshop on it, for example, and gaming is pretty much out, except light Android games, maybe. However, it does now support GeForce Now, and of course Stadia because Google, so if you have a decent Internet connection, you could actually do some decent gaming on it with those services.

Anyways, for light office work, and general play (browsing the web, watching videos, etc.) it's great.

I wouldn't be surprised if that old thing is just defective. They don't make those anymore so that poor thing has been in use for quite some time. No OS will fix that.

tell me your opinions on chromeOS, I had a lot of bugs on win10 because im using a hard drive, and I need an opinion about ChromeOS will it fix my problems?

I do not think it would help you but maybe try Linux because it can be slightly less recourse intensive.

My Laptop: A MacBook Air

My Desktop: Don’t have one

My Phone: An Honor 8s (although I don’t recommend it)

My Favourite OS: Linux

My Console: A Regular PS4

My Tablet: A Huawei Mediapad m5
