Hmmm, I was kinda looking at aesthetics too because if I'm going to have this for 7+ years, i don't really want it to be an eye sore, but I guess I could find a case with a solid side panel and get the non chromax fans. Also $2700 is kinda pushing it (but yes I know that it is only ~$200 more than my previous, with better price to performance) Also sorry for asking this again, but what are the quality of these parts like?

Here is a photoshopped idea of what I wanted to build:https://prnt.sc/u35zcl (ignore the Gigabyte GPU)

I initially wanted to go with the NH-U12S chromax.black but it was out of stock, and so was the Dark Rock 4, so I settled on the better performing but poop and brown NH-U12A - you can change it to whatever you want.

The B550 Vision D is just not worth the asking price - off the top of my head it retails at something like 270 USD? You can get a Prime X570-Pro for less than that, or even a B550 Steel Legend if you want a white themed build. The one in the screenshot looks quite sharp.

OK then, I'll get a different board then. Also just curious, what is a better board out of the steel legend and the vision d? Which motherboard and CPU cooler do you suggest I buy? Looks wont matter for any of these as I'll most likely get a windowless case because I cant stand the look of most boards haha.

The Vision D is technically better (well, except the VRM heatsinks I guess). Normally, at around the same price point as the B550 Steel Legend, I'd go for a B550 Aorus Pro, B550 Gaming Edge WIFI or Strix B550-F, but those are not white themed.

For the CPU cooler I'd get an NH-U12S chromax.black (or Dark Rock 4), NH-D15 chromax.black (or Dark Rock Pro 4) or an NH-U12A with a couple NF-F12 chromax.black fans on it, until Noctua releases a black version of that cooler as well. I do prefer air cooler over CLC AIOs, if even just for the reliability, but if you're set on going with an AIO, according to GN's testing the best performers are the Arctic Liquid Freezer II and the EK-AIO.

Mmmm, I don't like the look of any of those boards, but out of any motherboard which one should I get, as I said looks wont matter now as I'll just buy a windowless case. HOWEVER, if the build quality on the vision d is better, I will go for that instead even though it is higher priced. would you know if it is? or should I research that more?

I actually forgot that the Vision D uses the same VRM as the Aorus Pro, which is the same as on the Aorus Elite, so it's actually even more overpriced than I thought

So I'm guessing that is a definite no for the Vision d? So what board would you suggest then?
