Windows 10 installation errors mainly it freezing

Go to solution Solved by Nesus,

You just update the bios for it to work...

I’m currently trying to download a fresh copy of Windows onto an out of the box ssd ( Samsung evo 860 500gb ) Every attempt at me trying to install this os, it would result in it freezing no matter what I do. It only ever freezes while it’s “ getting files ready for installation”

everytime it freezes I would forcefully restart the pc, wipe the ssd clean and reattempt installation. I’m using an MSI z390 a pro as my motherboard.

My boot driver or thumb drive has been wiped and has the windows iso image redone loaded onto it, twice. Please help me. Everytime I wipe this ssd, I have to recreate a new partition.

That image is frozen, nothing will respond, keyboards and mouse works, everything works except nothing responds from what I know rn.

Did you try waiting? It could just be trying to read from the flash drive. Also if possible use a different drive.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

I’ve slept through a night to find that it was still frozen, I also have another fresh ssd, sandisk 120gbs, it also has the same effect. All of them keep crashing no matter what I try and install it on.

I used the media creation tool on both usbs to create an iso of windows 10. After this problem arose, I had suspected my usbs to be corrupt. I did reinstall them. Nothing changed.

Are you trying to install as UEFI or as Legacy? Try UEFI, on newer systems Legacy makes basically no sense. Based on the resolution it is a Legacy installation.

I’ve tried both, same result. I’ve tried resetting my bios by removing battery as well but no result

Have you tried the USB stick in a different USB port and/or the SSD in a different SATA port?

Mhm, I’ve tried to download windows on every sata and USB port I know of in my System but results didn’t change
