From what I said in another thread earlier today.

 

While the 3000 series will likely not supplant the 1600 series, they could shift pricing down and perhaps they will release a 3050 that is similar in cost but has greater performance or even just has RTX capability. Even if it was similar in performance, a 3000-series card will see longer driver support that usually increases its performance in later games compared to the 1660 super.

they usually stagger their launch dates. they start with x070 and x080, a month later the x080ti/x090, a few months later the x060 and so on. it will be a while until they release an entry-level card
