The other day I built my first custom PC after using a gaming laptop for several years, but the graphics card I'm currently borrowing until RTX 3000, a (barely) used 1080Ti, stops my PC from posting. The card was working properly before it was decommissioned from being a video output/video stream decode card as the host system was aging so the whole system was replaced, with the 1080Ti set aside for a little over a year.

When pressing the power button while the card is plugged in there is an audible click from the PSU, but nothing else happens. The system posts and boots into OS perfectly fine when using a Quadro K1200 I grabbed due to the 1080Ti not working.

Specs:

EVGA 750W 80+ Gold

Asus Crosshair VIII Hero Wifi

R5 3600

2x16GB 3600mhz Trident Z
