His budget is $1000. We live in the USA. He wants to use for gaming, editing, streaming, and recording. My friend already has a TV, mouse, a headset, keyboard. He plans to buy it whenever this pandemic ends or should we buy it now?

this looks solid to me. pandemic aint gonna go away any time soon in the us might as well buy it now and enjoy it. the ko ultra has been down to 280 bucks recently and the meshify has been down to 80, sn750 has seen some sales also. if you're not in a rush the 3600 might also drop down to 160 ish. so you can potentially save a few bucks if you wanna order stuff over the next few weeks to see what kinda deals pop up. i watch the reddit sub /r/buildapcsales cause they find the craziest deals lol

also you can save a few bucks and get a fractal design focus g and it'd work fine but it looks like shit imo, down to you. any case works here really, not a super high heat output system

on the topic of gpus, the ko ultra is probably the best bet here; good streaming support with turing nvenc and i believe its particularly suited to editing workloads due to evga putting in a fancy 2080 die for some reason

topics i need help on:

I'd ditch the 250GB/1TB combo and just get a 1TB SSD.

Get a cheaper motherboard.

The case @VeganJoy has selected would be a good choice.
