you can use the drive in a new build without reinstalling. but keep in mind that this can be problematic with new hardware, especially if changing to intel from amd or vice versa, and your windows will deactivate, requiring a reactivation. not sure about the reactivating thing since it is cracked though.

I would not recommend using an installation from another PC

You can transfer the windows key pretty easily in 2020, just sign into a microsoft account in Account Settings and the Windows Store on your current PC. I'd recommend making a USB windows installer and doing a fresh install new SSD, keep with enterprise just incase there's key compatibility issues.

Once the new install is done, do the same sign-in process and it'll activate the PC using the previous PCs activation key.

I've been going off a Windows 7 upgrade since that was a thing and just cross-activated every device in my house.

My rig:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 3.6Ghz, OC'ed to 4.2Ghz all core @ 1.25v + Corsair H60 120mm AIO

Just don't. Chipset drivers, ethernet drivers, possibly display drivers will give you issues and slow your system down due to compatibility issues. It's ALWAYS best to just do a fresh install on a new rig if you want it to preform its best.

literally that, changing from one set of parts to another is "new hardware". again, you can use the drive without reinstall, but as everyone else has said, expect issues. if the only reason you don't want to reinstall is you don't want to deal with the windows activation, you will have to deal with that either way, so a reinstall will always be best.

You can plug your old drive into your new rig after windows is done installing on the new drive, go into disk management, assign it as the D drive and everything will show up.

In short, yes you can

No you shouldn't

And practice occasional system wipe can improve your system performance by up to 10% just because of getting rid of small bugs and junks that windows update leave in your computer over time, or bloatware that you don't need anymore

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Agreeing with Moonzy, Again, like we've all said, it's VERY worth it to take the extra time to do a fresh install. It'll likely be faster than transferring your drive anyways, plus you'll have peace of mind that there aren't old drivers slowing you down.
