ubuntu 20 purple screen after boot

I need help right now when I boot up Ubuntu fossa focal I get this purple screen when I boot up I can't access the desktop environment 

But ican 

Access the full system from command line

I tried reinstalling gdm3 but it dint work

yes but you see the pop up asking for password is normal i have howdy (the windows hello style for linux) also i can login with command line

try to reinstall that always solves a lot of issues or maybe there is an 'safe mode' kinda idea on linux I don't know I am not familiar with linux

there is a safe mode but the thing is i can login with command line so not sure

its an open source os if your not ready to keep reinstalling then maybe you should switch to windows with an ubuntu vm

i cant afford a mac 1 and windows is harder to use since i dont have a packgage manager

Since you can get to a terminal, whats the output of "systemctl status gdm"

Could be about gpu drivers not loading because secure boot is on in bios.
