32 gb, USB3 It was NTFS and  I changed it to Fat32

@Radium_Angel

Will the TV see such a large stick? I have a client with a very old TV which sees up to 8GB, but anything else, even formatted right, no go. I always assumed it was a hard coded limitation.

Well, seems probable, it is 8 years old, but it sees 16 gb drives. What if I split the stick into 2?

Couldn't hurt to try.

Or format as just plain fat16, and see what portion of the USB stick it sees.

I only have NTFS, FAT32 and exFAT

try this

https://www.instructables.com/id/Format-USB-Flash-Drive-to-FATFAT16-not-FAT32/

Rufus (program) may also be of some help

@Radium_Angel

A hardware device? Unsure what use it would be on this.

SD HC

Secure Digital High Capacity.

It's probably not seeing the USB stick as a USB stick, but rather as what it's supposed to format (the SD card)

But a format is a format, if it works, it works...

It  also says it is type SD HC dont know what that means

SDHC is a type of SD card.

I don't think SD card formatter will work on a USB memory stick because that program is designed for SD cards, and my understanding is that you are using a USB memory stick or something like that. Is that correct?

Try plugging all three disks into Windows and compare them.

Are they formatted the same? Do they show up the same? Can all three be read and written to by Windows?

It could be a USB 3.0 issue then. That your TV doesn't support USB 3.0. USB 3.0 should be backwards compatible with 2.0 but I can't really think of any other reason.
