After installing Sata HDD I started getting USB Controller errors

Yesterday i installed a 1TB Harddisk drive in my computer using SATA 6.0, this is when anomlies started.

Whereas i had no problem consodering usb controller resources before today i start getting errors whenever i try using my webcam.

My motherboard is Asus TUF B450-Pro and the webcam is connected to one of the USB 2.0 ports in the back.

What could be the cause of this issue?

Guessing a bit randomly as to causes, sata ports sometimes share pcie lanes with m.2 slots.  Having m.2 and sata at the same time can create weirdness if the wrong stat port is used.  Generally what happens though is a sata port simply turns off though.  If you’ve also got m.2 populated, Switching the sata port the HDD uses might help.  Or it might not.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
