I'm wondering did anyone else ever do this before?

Yup. Reusing the old case can save some money while keeping the same exterior looks.

Also,👍

Looks good!

What are your rebuilt specs?

I recently finished (are you ever finished?) a long term project to build a desktop PC with primarily second-hand and refurbished parts. I started with a prebuilt that used a similar case (some old Corsair case with an acrylic side window and no PSU shroud). It just felt weird to house all those nice components in an old scratched up case so I eventually upgraded.

(The rest are on my profile)

Gpu: Rx 5700xt

cpu: Ryzen 7 3700xt

mobo: msi gaming edge x570

ram: corsair vengence lpx 16gb 3200mhz

storage: 500gb samsung evo m.2 + seagate 2tb 7200rpm harddrive.

In all honesty, I do want to switch to another case aswell in the future but this one right here had all the space I needed which was pretty handy.
