What gpu should I get?

I plan to play Assassin's Creed Valhala,  Marvel's Avangers, Halo infinite when they are released. 

I'm using a viewsonic 1080p 120hrtz 27 inch monitor. 

My friend says a 2070 super was overkill. 

So I'm hoping to run the games on high at 1080p.

Please give me some suggestions.

a 2070 super is pretty good if you want to stream. If you can wait, go ampere or whatever AMD has. If not go AMD 5xxx or nvidia 2060 super or 2070 super

Nah not streaming my Internet not stable enough.

depends on your budget if your doing a entry level system id say go for a 1070 if you building a mid-tier setup go for a 1650 and high end go for a RTX 2080 Ti

1070 for entry? wouldnt a 16xx, 1060, 1050 ti, 1050 or rx 5xx be a better pairing?

1070 is faster than the 1650

I've tried the Marvel Avengers beta version on my wifes RX 570 4 gb/R5 2400g/8 GB RAM and it struggled on 1080 high, achieving only ~40 fps and stuttering everywhere. On 1080 medium, motion blur turned off and shadow quality set to low, it was better but averaged around 55 fps. The game also either froze or closed twice. For whatever reason, the CPU was running at about 75%-100% the entire time.

 

I'm hoping that the game just isn't properly optimized yet. I believe the 'recommended' requirements are a Ryzen 5, 1600/i7 4th gen, 16 gb of RAM and a 1060 6gb. A GT 1070 or RX 5600xt should suite you fine, assuming your CPU is also up to par.

A 1050ti really is outdated now, I'm finding my old RX 570 is really beginning to struggle with the newest AAA games coming out. A 1050ti would probably be terrible for at least the Avengers game.
