Hi there,

I am looking to upgrade my motherboard to either a b550 or x570 board becuase my current one will go into another pc. I am running a r5 3600 and a 2070s. Are there any benefits that would be noticable if i get an x570 board over a b550? Budget is around €200.

Was considering these boards: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING or GIGABYTE AORUS X570 AORUS ELITE.

Thanks in advance

I would go with the strix f in all honesty.

If you're not limited to these two options.

For b550.

Tomahawk.

Mortar.

Aorus pro.

Strix f.

Steel legend.

A pro.

For x570.

Tomahawk.

X570-p

X570 tuf. The aorus elite is not really Worth it imo.

Zero point in X570 or B550 IMO

I mean. Fair enough but if budget allows. B550 is just better. Also I would go with the a pro max (non m) as it does the same thing and costs a bit less.

Well for me the point is that if i have to get a new board anyways i might aswell get a board that can support 4th gen whenever i want a cpu upgrade.

Unless you need the extra PCIe 4.0 lanes, B550. You get a better feature set for the same price.

My recommendations would be the B550 Aorus Pro, Strix B550-F and B550 Tomahawk/Gaming Edge WIFI.
