Clockspeed won't kill a CPU, voltage will.

 

 

Clear CMOS, it'll probably be fine unless you overvolted it.

I bought a second hand cpu *r5 2600 and matx b450 board to try learning over-clocking, I did what the members taught me. 

Go lil by lil I got it to 4.2ghz but after any higher it black screened now it won't even boot please assist. Thank you.

I'll try thanks, I set the volt at 1.35 should be  OK.
