H100i Led Failure?

Go to solution Solved by Barry2310,

I had this exact problem.

The led stopped working, as far as I can remember, i could control the fan speeds but not the LED, it remained off.

I contacted Corsair and after some "talking-through" over the phone, we concluded at an RMA.

The new one works perfectly!

I'd say an RMA would be your best bet!

Hi guys,

It seems that I am having some problems with my corsair H100i that I brought a 2-3 weeks ago. The problem that I am having is regarding the LEDs behind the corsiar logo on the cooler.

Currently the LEDs are not working at all. However, I have had a similar problem to this before where the red an green LEDs stopped working and I was only getting a blue colour when I had selected White in corsair link. After a week or so it started to have the White colour that I had selected.

I am currently wondering if the current issue I am having is similar to the issue I have had before.

Thanks.

Have you updated Corsair Link and the H100i Firmware?

Corsair Link:

http://www.corsair.com/us/media/cms/drivers/CorsairLINK2_Installer_v2.3.4816.exe

How do I update the firmware on my H80i/H100i?

Please follow these steps to update the firmware on your Hydro Series cooler:

1. Install the latest version of the Corsair Link software and use the "update firmware" button on the device tab.

2. Once Corsair Link exits a new dialog box comes up and you have to select "Corsair H80i/H100i" and then click back into the dialog box.

3. Use the choose file dialog box to select the unzipped firmware file.

4. Once you hit start it will flash the firmware and go through POST test on the H100i/H80i unit. The fans will spin up to full speed and then go back to the previous profile that was selected before the flash.

5. You can close the firmware flash dialog box and the program will open up again.

6. The service has to be restarted, so detection of the devices and inputs will take 15 to 30 seconds depending on how many you have. It will all come back up in the main program window as well as the devices window.

That's just the latest installer for the CorsairLINK software. The firmware is made available separately (somewhere) in the Corsair Forum. I've already asked RAMGUY about this as there's no sticky thread for the H100i firmware and CorsairLink USB Dongle.

The best solution is to delete your saved profile for CorsairLINK, completely uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller and then reinstall. If that fails, the LED has likely failed and it wouldn't be the first H100i to suffer this problem.

Am I right in understanding that there has been an issue with the LED from day one?

Cheers guys for the quick response. I am going to do what you have suggested now and I haven't had issues with the LEDs since day 1.

I'd say you need to contact corsair, its more than likely an RMA situation tbh. Sounds like you were shipped a faulty unit
