Can adding ram help GPU usage?

Right now I have an Ryzen 3 1200AF with RX 570 and a single stick of 8GB ram, can adding another 8 GB of ram help increase GPU usage? I am not expecting so much improvement but just asking can it help?

Unless you are capped by your VRAM, no. Adding RAM actually reduces stutters caused by being VRAM limited in some games.

If you’re completely maxing our your memory, it could pave the way for your GPU to get more utilization if it’s stuck waiting for resources to be pulled from storage to RAM.

More importantly though, dual channel memory greatly improves Ryzen performance.

If your GPU is limited by your CPU and the CPU in turn is limited by RAM (mostly bandwidth) it could help, if the additional RAM enables dual channel.

More RAM could also help if you're frequently limited by having too little. But that's less about fps and more e.g. about less frequent reloads/stutters.
