PG27QE Stand Question?

Hello people.

 

I use the Asus pg279qe and before that I had the Asus pg279q as I had to replace it. My questions are if anyone knows LOL

 

1. Can I use the old stand for the asus pg279qe?  I like the old stand better since it has lights, the new stand is smaller and no lights.

2. I can't tell the difference in the hardware side rather then the looks and new stand.
