Where did you find that scythe SSD adapter? I have a pair that i got years go but havnt seen any since Scythe USA closed down. Nice Plextor mSATA SSD BTW.

Also where did yo get the AC power cord ends they look so nice!

the Plextor sure is small

 

Power cords ends were sent to me from Gdesmo a friend on another forum I have 4 sets now in different colors

I'm really happy the way it turned out and bent another acrylic piece as a cover for the switches B)

 

So tonights project was sleeve the case feet :wacko:

@Father Fuzzy thanks I still have two of those Scythe 2.5in adapters and they are the most quality ones that I have ever found. So its good to know where i can go to get more. They used to have 3.5in HDD ones but I think those have been long discontinued.

Damn those cables look expensive. I have some USB cables like that i can only imagine how much it is for larger ones and audio ones, especially if their "audiophile grade".

 in the pic I set a led to the plugs 

 

I did try to get them wired into the ends from a existing power end I was after the resistor

Broke when I got to the end of removing it

 

 

After a hour of widdling the plastic away it broke :blink:

Started the fun task of sleeving the cables

I was able to do the melting of the sleeve without a lighter and having better control of the heat

 

 

I needed to make a couple custom cables for the sata power runs on the funky acrylic hard drive holder :wacko:

 

It was quite a frustrating cable to make :angry:

 

 

 

after all that work...its gone!

 

 

Installed the sleeved casefeet

 

 

Had to throw in a couple led's for a test...It will get better!

 

 

working on a few ideas to put some bling in the black build

tested out the remote control unit works sweet on lighting

sleeved the antenna line hope it still works

 cut the wires and crimped to molex and Darkside sleeved it

 

24 pin Darkside sleeved

 

Dammit one sleeve short (one piece short but found one)

 

 

think i'll put a couple of Gelids up top on the Darkside 240 rad

 

 

Armed with a new scroll saw i'm trying to learn how to use it and what blades are good for Plexi/aluminum

 

 

 

tough one for a first try

 

Here is some 41 TPI .035 kerf spiral blades

 

Didnt use the right blade for the first hour or so but amazed I pulled off some of these cuts in 1/8 plexi

next one will be alot better :rolleyes:

not going to bother with filing it , more proof of concept and trying out different blades on the aluminum
