What GPU should I get

[RTX 3090]

I am doing after effects on AMD Athlon 200g overclocked 30% and it is a bit laggy.

I decided to upgrade to

• 8GB DDR4 (Currently 4GB)
• AMD Ryzen 1400 (4 core, 8 threads)
• ASRock B350 Motherboard

What GPU should I get

• RX470 8GB (£110)
• RX580 4GB (£80)
• RX580 8GB (£140)
• P106 and a GT730 for display output (£30+£10=£40)

what prices are you getting these for? doesn't sound like a good plan, unless they are extremely cheap.

@5x5 Said it's better to go AM4 then Xeon and these were the only ones in my budget. Planning to get a 1700x a bit later, or maybe a 3200g, whichever is better.

i think a ryzen 5 2400g or 3400g would work well for your use case.

while you won't be ale to overclock it on your current board, but it should work, provided you have some airflow in the case.

and I agree you should get another 4gb of ram.

No problem. Depends on the state - if buying new or used. For video editing, I'd say a 1060 6GB is a good place to start. Or a 1660 if possible. If those aren't an option, the RX 580, at least assuming a good cooler, is an excellent choice.

What is better, GTX 1660 6GB or RX 580 8GB. Which is faster in After Effects

1660 would be optimal for CUDA
