I will be building a gaming rig in the later part of May, I can not build it later due to the fact that I need a better system to game on 6/7 (6 hrs a day, 7 days a week). For this system, I would like to play across multiple monitors. To do this smoothly I have decided that I will get 1, maybe 2, titan blacks, the question is:

Will they be good for multiple monitors for at least 2 yrs (may 2016)?

I should hope so, because they are so expensive.

What resolution are you going to be playing on? If you're going to buy two GTX Titan Blacks, you better be playing on triple 1440p+. If you're just playing on triple 1080, get 1 or 2 GTX 780s or 1 or 2 non reference R9-290s.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

You're* ;)

But yes. Titan blacks should last quite a while. A GTX 580 is still a decent card and can probably play BF4 at 1080p med/high settings ~60fps

It drives me crazy when people can't spell/use grammar properly. Still love you

Try to keep this on topic guys. :)

Either way, GTX Titan Blacks should last a very long time.

Exactly this.

Titan Blacks are a waste of money if you're playing 1080p.

Even 780 Ti's are considerably cheaper.

It will be triple 1080p 144hz monitors. Single titan black for sure, maybe 2, havent decided if I wanna use all dat money. A single can only do bf4 at like medium/high with a single, and thats the main game I plan to play across three monitors. With 2, it will be better, and it will be longer before I have to upgrade. I would rather spend $1000 extra dollars and in like 3.5 yrs build a brand new system, than get one and upgrade just the GPU in 2 yrs.

but a single titan black is cheaper than dual 780 Tis and it wont hit VRAM limits. and the monitors will be 144HZ

Since you have 144Hz monitors, you should try to hit 144 FPS. 2 AMD R9-290s would be more than enough, but if you can't find them for a reasonable price, get 2 GTX 780s (non Ti).

Honestly you could get 2 vanilla Titans and they would last you two years no problem.  Mine have just turned a year old this week and I don't plan on upgrading them until Volta...
