Definitely get a better motherboard.

Other than that it sounds good, though unless you've got a really good deal on the 5700XT Red Devil, I'd probably get a 2070S or cheaper 5700XT instead (Red Dragon, Pulse, Gaming X).

The red dragon was sold out the owner gave us the devil at dragon's price.

I think you're confusing the B550 with the B450. The B550 Aorus Elite uses the same VRM as the B550 Aorus Pro, which performs fine.

Gigabyte's mATX Elite and Pro are not the same as the ATX versions.

The ATX B550 Aorus Elite is a good board. The B550-A Pro from MSI has a little more features I think, but the Elite has a better VRM (though the A Pro can still handle a stock 12-core or even 16-core).

The ATX B550 Aorus Pro is pretty much as good as B550 gets (along with the Strix B550-F, B550 Gaming Edge WIFI and B550 Tomahawk) until you start getting into overspending territory for a B550 motherboard. It will run an overclocked 16-core 3950X no problem, and it's also got better rear IO than the MSI boards (unless you don't need more than 5 USB-A ports).

Yeah but he might lose some ram speed, as ryzen struggle to run 4 sticks at the rated speeds.
