I'm not hugely desperate for a new graphics card but my 7870 is slightly lacking in performance.  I had a Gigabyte 290 Windforce for a few days but it was far too loud in order to keep it cool.  I play at 2560x1440 or 5760x1080 (rarely) and have narrowed the choices down to the Sapphire Tri-X 290, Asus DCUII 290, Gigabyte Windforce 780ti, EVGA 780ti ACX SC or wait for the higher tier of Maxwell cards to be released.

I play Battlefield 4, DayZ, Skyrim, Rust and will be playing The Witcher 3.  DirectX, OpenGL and Mantle will all be low level API's so I don't know how well Mantle will compete with them but they could all be pretty equal.  All things considered, which option would you choose?

Windforce 780ti

7870 isn't going to cut it for 1440p, so I'd get something better asap.

My 7870 has been fine for 1440p, playing most games medium-high.  Why the Gigabyte over EVGA?

You want to crank dem details though? Windforce because of its cooler, mainly.

780ti if you can afford one, otherwise get the Sapphire R9 290/290X Tri-X.

Which 780ti?

Yup, just need that extra powaarrr!  Alright, cheers, even though that shader clock speed is quite a lot lower?

Hmm, you linked to a 780ti /ACX  cooler. I'd probably go with that over the Gigabyte. Thought it was just a reference SC.

780 ti Gaming from MSI or the Windforce card as you say the 290 was to loud I would not get another one as its probably the case with most of them.

Would you choose those 780ti cards for their cooling over the EVGA ACX SC 780ti?

Alright thanks, do you have any experience with the card?

Sorry about that, fixed now, thanks.

Which is the best out of those would you say?  They're all a pretty similar price.

No, I wish but i just like the windforce cooler out of them and sometimes they turn out cheaper than evga's ACX cooler and it would have some better cooling becuase of the 3 fans but if your case can not fit the windfors the ACX is just fine so it works out pretty nicely
