Is it time to get a new one?

I have Logitech M510 mouse and its been working great for the past 10 years, but recently it has trouble detecting im pressing or holding down either of the L or R mouse buttons. Does that mean the optical sensor is going out or do i have to have a more smooth surface so the mouse can detect im pressing one of them mouse buttons?

if you have trouble clicking, its either the switches are dying or your connection is interrupted, the sensor does the tracking so it shouldn't have any impact.

If you want, they should be new for around $60 on Amazon.

Oh okay. Thank you but it only does that when i go over a rough area on my desk.

seems weird, have you tried it on a different device?
