Custom amd apu

With the new custom chips in ps5 and series x I’ve started to wonder why we can’t see super powerful chips like that on the desktop side, what’s the reason amd’s best apu is a quad core with 11 compute units but they can cram 53 into the series x chip

First of all 

Console's gpus have their own dedicated silicon.

Because it occupies a small portion of the cpu's silicon whereas a dedicated GPU has its own pcb and silicon and will always be more powerful.

Because a consoles has to have GDDR5/6 crammed around the chip. Outside of custom solutions, you cant do that easily in a socketable system.

Its not, its an 8 core with 8 compute units.

Essentially its a whole lot easier and more profitable for AMD to sell graphics solutions and CPUs seperatly for people who need that much performance.
