Guys I want to swap 1660 Ti for 2080 Super.

Do I need to DDU Nvidia drivers before 2080 installation?

 

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with,and even if you think I'm rude or not polite,forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

For the most part no. 

If you want to be extra safe. It won't hurt to do so.

I wouldn't get a 2080 super now. I would DDU just to be safe

The 3070 is due in two months and it's expected to be twice as good as the 2080. He's trying to save you the buyers remorse when you realize you got shafted on the 2080 Super. Instead of being an arse, do some thinking and behave properly.

That's not the point. Your wasting Money getting a card that will be outperformed by a mid-range card in 2 or 3 months.

I need a card now,not in 2-3 months...

You really think I will be a sheep and whenever amd,intel,nvidia release new card,CPU I should buy it..

so what if 3080 is coming,4080 will come too and in some time 10 080...

The point is to get a card I need for  current gaming.

Besides I don't play at 4K nor 8K I'm at 1440p

And I got it discounted...

Where in the world did this number come from lol.  A 3070 double the performance of a 2080?  I don't think any GPU generation has EVER done that...

It's like releasing 24 cores CPU when games still run fine on 4C/8T..

Now is maybe the worst time ever to get a new GPU. the old 2x00 chips don't have enough raytracing power compared to the new cards

To wait 2 months just for a some futuristic GPU that is capable for RT is silly.
