Headset Audio coming through mic

Hello hello everyone.
I'm currently using the Logitech G Pro Headset and im very much satisfied with it. I've had it for about a year now and it has been pretty much perfect except for one single complaint. My mic picks up the sound coming through my headset, and i do not know what to do about it. It doesn't pick up all the sounds, if somethings quiet it wont be heard, but it picks up a lot and it is definitely noticeable when im in vc's. I have tried about everything from messing with Windows and Realtek settings, reinstalling drivers, plugging it in the back or the front and i still have not found a solution to it. I'm using the Y splitter that came with the Headset.

I could be wrong but we've had a few of these posts in the past couple of weeks and from memory the best answer so far has been that it's due to poor wiring insulation or an incomplete jack connection (when you plug them in). I'm no expert but try giving the audio jacks a good old N46 style blow and making sure they're pushed all the way in.
