Compatibile memory for TP X1 Extreme (Gen1)?

Is Crucial 2666MHz CL19, SR x8 CT8G4SFS8266 compatibile with Micron 2666MHz CL19 MTA8ATF1G64HZ-2G6E1 what I have in my ThinkPad X1 Extreme?

Any difference from if I buy exact same stick? Performance, etc.?

One stick of each, as a pair...?  I'd try and avoid it, if possible.  A matched pair would be better, yes...

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

One of each (8GB original stick + 8GB Crucial)

Personally, I'd go with a matched pair.

Any ddr4 so dimm should work

A slower stick will result in both sticks running at the slowest speeds

And different cas latency for the most part should work.
