Is crypto currency mining still worth doing?

Was thinking are they worth buying?

Most of the time it costs more in electricity and parts than you would ever get back. I would say no, it’s not worth it.

I am also in a similar situation but I can easily say that if you are going to be paying for your hardware and electricty costs more than $0.1 dont even bother GPU mining. I was thinking about creating a 25-30 GPU operation but I decided to get 5 ASICs instead of 30 gpus.

I’m not sure it ever was.  I looked at it long ago and saw that the only long term way to make money at it was to steal electricity.  This is it’s primary problem I think.  Everything about it is criminal.  It’s more or less backed by illegal drugs.  The only reason to use it is for breaking the law, and all it really does is destroy electrical distribution by making stealing electricity profitable.
