I have just purchased this GPU online, been trying for hours now getting a display out of it, without any success. Did just notice potential damage to the connector.

The card still spins up with X2 6 pins connected, again. As the "damage" looks so clean I'm not too sure.

<snipping matters>

That isn’t damage, all cards are like that.

The iGPU point is a valid one. Also, what machine is this going in? Also, being a ~10 year old card, I hope you got it for incredibly cheap.

The GTX 260 is 12 years old. Depending on the rest of your PC specs it may not be compatible, or it could be a dead card. I hope you didn't pay a lot for it.

Have you tried it in another computer?

Does your PC work without it installed?

Update - it was £8

That seems too low for even a Tesla card .

Are you sure the listing did not say dead or something ?

No, thats how they are designed. All cards are like that.

I guess for ~5 bucks, sure why not. It'll play games from 2010 to 2015 at low settings no problem, theoretically.

Assuming its not broken, it should work fine. It is old, but that doesn't matter. If you plug your monitor into the motherboard video out, can you at least install nvidia drivers? If that works, the driver installer is seeing the card which would be a very good sign. If that doesn't work, something isn't happy.
