Posted February 28, 2014 Hey Guys, I have a Windows 7 machine with an ASUS P8Z77-V Pro. I want to change to Windows 8.1 and need the correct drivers. At the driver page of my mainboard there is a network driver for Windows 8.1: ASUS Bluetooth4.0 Wi-Fi Driver V10.0.0.260 for Windows Win8.1 32bit & Win8.1 64bit---(WHQL). Should I install this or this for Windows 8: ASUS Wireless Network Driver V10.0.0.67 for Windows 8 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL). I ask this because I ran Windows 8.1 on that machine before and had a bunch of bluescreens. People said that this is caused by my network drivers. I had installed this: ASUS Bluetooth4.0 Wi-Fi Driver V10.0.0.260 for Windows Win8.1 32bit & Win8.1 64bit---(WHQL). So should I install this for no bluescreens?: ASUS Wireless Network Driver V10.0.0.67 for Windows 8 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL). They are for Windows 8 so are they working on Windows 8.1 correctly too or should I take the Bluetooth 4.0 Wi-Fi Driver? Posted February 28, 2014 you could try to switch to a different windows 8.1 version and otherwise guessing by the drivers I would take the ones optimized for the OS. Why did people say it was caused by the network drivers? If you want you can talk to me in a private chat in german
 Posted February 28, 2014 Did you do a fresh install of Windows 8.1 on that system? If you installed it on another system and you are just switching the HDD this will cause problems. And also I believe an install reformats your drive (or partitions a part of your drive), so any drivers from Windows 7 shouldn't matter.
 Posted March 1, 2014 Author yesterday? or when did you reinstall it and did you use the same version or copy? I built last year my PC. I installed Windows 8 first then came Windows 8.1. I loaded Windows 8.1 on a flash drive installed it and it worked. Then at the biginning of this year I got many bluescreens so I installed Windows 8.1 new and there were bluescreens again so I installed WIndows 7. Maybe it's because I overclocked like in the video of Newegg where JJ overclocked his i7 to 4.8 GHz with 1.35V but that doesnt worked for me. When I booted up I saw a bluescreen. Maybe I damaged something I don't know. || CPU Intel Core i7 3770K | Motherboard Asus P8Z77-V Pro | RAM Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600MHz | GPU Asus GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP 2048MB GDDR5 | Case Coolermaster CM Scout 2 | Storage Samsung SSD 830 256GB, 3TB Seagate | PSU BeQuiet!
