Ryzen 2700 not boosting

Hi everyone,

 

I have a pc with the folowing configuration:

 

Ryzen 2700

Asus prime x470

16 GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 mhz

500 GB Samsung nvme

Asus RTX 2070

Corsair RM650X

 

Now it seems that my cpu never boosts to 4.1 Ghz, it keeps at 3.4 Ghz when I run a benchmark such as CineBench. CPU package temp never goes above +- 50 degrees celcius. Turbo boost seems to be enabled in the BIOS from what I can tell. Is there something I'm missing to enable turboboost on my CPU?

The 4.1ghz is a single core XFR boost and typically see this frequency at idle.

 

3.4ghz is all core boost and 3.2ghz is base clock (max power state). 

 

Use HWInfo64 for your temp readings. (screen shots say 1000 words) 

Load temps are most important and will reflect the boost frequency.

 

Other than that, running normal. Perhaps increase PBO or CPB levels, might get you a higher frequency so long those load temps are low enough.

Maybe check your windows power plan and set it to Ryzen Balanced or Ryzen High performance
