replacing dead case usb ports.

Well, my dog got a little too cueious about my rig and ate my perepherals or at least tried to. yanked it right out the 2 case usb ports. one is bent out of shape the other is missing the top half in side. so the latter is likely a dead port.

 since my keyboard and mouse wires are short the front of the case usb placement matters a lot to me reaching the board easily. 

 

since this thread is about modding, i figured replacing usbs or adding them may be a thing. how would a newbie even begain to go about fixing a dead port? thanks.

 

edit: found the other half of the usb. its in the end of the mouse.

The easiest solution would be a front panel 5.25" hub,

You could also try contacting Fractal to see if you could buy a replacement front I/O board.

 

Depending on your soldering skills it may be possible to replace the ports on your current board.
