3rd Time Building

Zektbach

Budget (including currency): $500

Country: Philippines

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Warzone, Valorant, CS:GO

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 144hz, 1080p

So I successfully built my own computer and my friend's computer thru this forum. Now another friend wants me to 'choose' some parts for him. These are my recommendations.

*Some parts are cheaper here in the PH.

Mobo is $77

Processor is $120

VGA is $140

Get an SSD first of all instead of a mechanical hard drive, swap the 3100 for a 3300X, the memory for a 3600MHz CL17/18 kit and the PSU for a CX450 instead of the CV550, and you're golden.

It doesn't make sense to put USD if you're not using USD. Don't use it, it's just confusing for some people that will look at your post.

As for your parts list, I'd look to get a 3300x, save money on the RAM, get a used graphics card if possible, and try and get an SSD in there.

Currently, 3300X is out of stock right now :(

An ordinary SSD will do right?
About the vga, a lot of people are hoarding used vga and sell them at a higher price. So its better to buy brand new :/ I’m choosing rx570 or 1650..

Imo it might be worth waiting a little while if that would mean that you could get a 3300X instead, unless you're in a hurry to build the PC.

Look for an SSD that doesn't use QLC NAND and isn't DRAMless. The Kingston A2000 and Silicon Power P34A80 are usually priced quite low compared to other competitors, but there's also the Crucial MX500 which is SATA but still a very solid drive.

If new cards are around the same price or cheaper then definitely they're the way to go. Between the 570 and 1650, the 570 will definitely be the better performer.
