Wierd network problem

I have fiber internet connection in my house it works without any problem everytime I use it.

But when my friend comes home with his laptop and connects it to our internet every single device losses internet connectivity this happens only with his laptop can someone tell me what's wrong

Please give more information, there is not enough there for us to help properly diagnose the issue.

What device does your friend use?

What router or modem are you using on your network?

Does he use the wireless or a hardline to connect?

 

Please add as many details as possible, this will help the forum in the best way in helping you.

Laptop 

DBC Router

Both Lan and WiFi does the same.

It sounds like there is a possibility that the IDM app is Malware, which is hitting the network performance somehow.
