Monitor displays “no signal”

Try re-seating GPU and try another monitor.

Hello! I’m a first time builder and I just finished putting together the parts for my new gaming pc. As excited I was when it turned on, I can’t get my monitor to connect to my pc. I have both an HDMI and a 15 peg cord (I don’t know the official name) connected but neither of them have worked. The monitor turns on briefly and says “no signal”. I’ve tried removing and putting the GPU back in, as well as just turning both the monitor and pc off and on again. Any ideas?

Edit: Figured it out.

I recently experienced this with an Asus monitor. If you leave the monitor plugged into power (and on) for a few minutes and then reset it to factory settings, it will work.
