First time building a PC. Help!

Okay, so.. Im completely overhauling my current PC (NEW MOBO, CPU, WATER COOLING, GPU, RAM.)

My current setup is:
Asus H110m A.M2
I7-6700
GTX 1070
16GB RAM HYPERX
1TB SABRENT NVME SSD
1TB WD HDD (Just games)

Im upgrading to:
x570 MSI MPG GAMING EDGE WIFI
Ryzen 9 3900X
Corsair H115i Water Cooling
MSI RTX 2080TI Gaming Trio X
32GB CRUCIAL BALLISTIX RGB
(Im planning on keeping the same SSD AND HDD)

Assuming that I safely Built my pc by just watching a bunch of LINUS Vids.. My problem now is how do I install windows? Can I just transfer my old OS to the new PC? Is this advisable or no? I need help on this.

Now, If transfering old OS is no bueno and im buying a new one... How do I install my NEW OS onto my SSD Without losing or getting any files deleted or formatted? Coz I heard that if you Install a new OS onto a Hard drive. It formats everything? Dunno if its true.

Basically, I just want to keep everything that I have on my computer. Is this possible? Please help me!

1. Wait for zen3 and Ampere.

2 IF you are buying now,

will fail horribly with a 3900x.

t's recommended to re-install Windows when swapping to a new motherboard.

Just do a fresh install, it's always the best option.

You don't have to pay for a new one. Sometimes you have to call Microsoft and they'll transfer the license over.

@gloop The 3900x isn't the best choice if only gaming, but it's far from useless.

Regarding what? Installing Windows? Or calling them? Both are relatively straight forward and don't need a tutorial.

I don't have anything to add, beside:

I would not buy anything at the moment.

Prices are off the charts due to the current situation, and new CPUs are right around the corner (which doesn't help getting stock back up, as everyone tries to empty all their stuff soon, so orders are small, to ensure that no one is stuck with old hardware that no one wants to buy).

If you have the urge, I would hold it. You will most likely be disappointed that you spent all this money and something better, possible cheaper, is out in a few months.
