Hello, i have currently a b450-F gaming from asus with 16gb of ddr4 3200 mhz trident z rgb. This is paried with a R7 3700X and a 2080 super. Ive been getting bluescreens recently and having a ton of different errors. Most of those errors i look up too see exactly what would cause it but it could be alot of different things. One thing i tried is taking out my ram and puting my partners ram which is the exact same speed just different branding. The pc will not boot but restart constantly with no showing of bois screen at all. Puting my ram back in starts fine. Then i try 1 stick for 8gb and its fine. But its still not helping with the blue screens and constant games crashing for example Gta 5 and forza horizon 4. These crashes have no errors after them they just close. I want to get a whole new x570 motherboard and a new set of ram to see if this ram is the issue. Awhile ago i also accidently got some thermal paste on the pins of my cpu. Ive tried brushing and using reccomended solutions to try get it off and most of it is now off besides abit of specked pieces you can see. It still acts well and works as a cpu. Even did a cinebench run and no problems or bluescreens. In runs at idle 40c but thats just the ryzen 3rd gens anyway. What should i do. Most of it says its driver issues or ram. So would i need a new ssd for boot and make sure i get a good windows copy? Or should i buy new ram? Please help! And btw this all happend after updating bios for my b450 to support ryzen 3000 cpus.

i have noticed Gskill ram is pretty much Hit or Miss with ryzen cpus. You either get a super stable ram kit, or its awful, unstable and crashes constantly.

i searched some forums and found this:

Quote
These crashes were related to memory corruption (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Please run verifier first.  You do not need to run memtest yet unless verifier does not find the cause, or you want to.

If you are over-clocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!  If you do not know what this means you probably are not

1-Driver verifier (for complete directions see our wiki here)

2-Memtest. (You can read more about running memtest here)

Increase memory votalge. DDR4 can go up to 1.45V and should still be fine. Of course you should try to lower it as much as you can while still being stable.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
