Cannot compare since they dont even run the same tasks. Flop comparisions especially so.

Apple had it running rise of the tomb raider in the WWDC event today so they actually kind of do now 😅

@Faiyaz777 it was 1080p at 30fps minimum since there weren’t any evident frame drops. It was probably performing around < gtx 1650 levels since the game looked like it was at medium-low settings. This likely won’t be the exact chip they use for the retail models, just the dec kits to get developers started on moving over apps. I would imagine they would push the performance further with active cooling and higher TDPs.

It was running on a MAC, not Apple iPad or iPhone. Completed different instructions.

Duh? it was on the new OSX Big Sur which has support for the custom SOC. Also TFLOPS are not instruction set based.

Well from what i can see they have 6GB of memory...and a A12Z BIONIC chip...so how cool is that :)

https://gadgets.ndtv.com/tablets/news/ipad-pro-2020-improved-gpu-performance-antutu-benchmarks-6gb-ram-apple-2197583

That said, in general those ipads and high-end tablets can in practice only be as fast as say a very high-end phone and then a bit more...which is nowhere near anywhere remotely near close to (hope this is clear enough...) the performance of an entry level desktop gaming GPU like say a GTX 1660...

Not saying it's trash..software optimization and support along with OS and platform path alone can make a chip like that do stuning things.
