Hi All,

I just built my newest gaming PC and all was good until I got into windows...
Once into windows, I got the high pitch whine. Decided to troubleshoot, replaced each part until I determined it was the graphics card. Decided to try to put the graphics card under a benchmark to stress it a bit and see if the whining would get worse, and it actually stopped. So only at basic idle does this happen...

Heres my specs:

Ryzen 9 3900x
Asus x570-f motherboard
2x 32gb 3600 DDR4
ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070

ThermalTake Toughpower Grand RGB 850W 80+ Gold.

Tested with a different graphics card, and it worked fine.

Any idea's? Only research I can see is it getting louder under stress, and this is not the case.

GPU whine "may" get better over time but it isn't guaranteed from what I know there isn't really that much you can do about whine

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

Understand that - but wouldn't the whine be worse under load, not go away?

coil whine can also be caused by the electric current, it hits the right amount of juice when idle, when it's got more power flowing through it the current changes and the coil stops vibrating... idk, find a way to give it more power at idle
