Fault Background:
So this fault started back in march just prior to New Zealand Lock-down.
Initially i though it was a one off, but it quickly became apparent that it wasn't.
i would usually get 1 or 2 crashes a day. sometimes no crashes at all.
The crash would either be:

   1: System Restart

System simple rebooted. No errors, no known reason.
System will reboot and operate as normal.

   2: Hard System Crash
System will hang, screens go blank, RGB remains on, fans on, USB appear to shut off. Reset & Power button have nill effect. No error logged.
System Requires removal of POWER (switching the PSU "off and back on again" (thanks Roy)) to correct from the crash. system operates as normal after booting.

System state when crash occurs:
There is no state of operation that I've seen that causes the crash more or less.
It could be Idle on the desktop.
It could be watching a YouTube video.
It could be playing a game like Minecraft to a game like Red Dead Redemption II

Testing performed so far:
- CPU Prime95 20 minute load test. with temps monitored. all within acceptable (85*C after 20 minute) ranges. No Crash.
+ While temps where acceptable (85*C after 20 minute), i still got a new cooler. Tested again with 25*c drop.
- GPU Heaven benchmark tested. No Crashes.
- PSU Load tested with CPU and Heaven concurrently. Passed no crashes.
- All drives tested and health checked. All passed no errors.
- MemTest 4 passes all ok.
- GPU Driver DDU backdated drivers to 2019 drivers. No change.
- Purchased new RAM (due MSFS2020) but also for testing..(justification :D)
+ New memory installed old modules removed. = Results disregarded due mixing up 1 new and 1 old module... GOOD ONE! :S
+ Checked and install only new modules. System appears to remain stable (2 days)
+ Install old modules with new modules System crashed within 16hours.
+ removed old modules and tested again with new only. System crashed with 4 hours, then again after 8 hours. then remained stable for 48 hours.
Possible ram issue, but being that the system still crashes even once the old ram is out seems strange.

I did notice even though both sets of ram are the same part number, cpu-z reports the old modules have "SK Hynix" dram and the new stuff has "Samsung" dram.

What else can i do to try narrow down the issue here.
I dont have spare motherboard / CPU's and PSU's laying so its not really possible to try another CPU or Motherboard.
But im open to suggestions.
Let me know if i there any other info you need too.
Cheers

I had the same problem,I basically tried all "fix" and nothing worked, I changed every part to with parts known to work in other system to no avail. Dump the 2700x in the trash or make a keychain with it and get a 3700x, that fixed it for me.

Or, uninstall NZXT Cam and sit back! 😉
