The i5-3550 has a base clock of 3.3GHz and a turbo of 3.7GHz and is not overclockable. You sure you don't have a 3570K?

Regardless, XTU crashes usually mean that something is unstable, and the most likely culprit is your CPU's overclock. Dial that back or increase the voltage, and the problem will eventually solve itself once you find a happy stable point.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

mah boy

you think im trippin?

had this cpu for 4 years now and

i can send you a screenshot of the bios if you want

the turbo 3.7GHz is if the cpu overclocks itself, its the highest allowed by stock BUT i manually went in the bios and overclocked it to 3.9GHz didnt have any issues until i changed my gpu and psu and now i cant run intel xtu

maybe it has something to do with the gpu and psu change?

BCLK overclocking?

CPUs degrade over time. One of the changes might have brought that out. I think XTU does have a GPU stress test built in. Have you tried running a couple of different stress tests, maybe AIDA64 and OCCT to see if you get the same result?

my cpu is 100% fine and im running this 3.9GHz oc for about 2 months or so.

Reset your overclocking by setting your bios back to factory defaults and see if XTU launches.

still didnt work

i did a reset on the ram clocks and on the cpu multiplier back to stock
