Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Not really sure because I am still getting games but I want to run games that need a beefy computer. Also I to run the games at full settings.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): There are just a few things I want. I want my GPU to be NVIDIA and RTX. I want a Intel CPU. 16 or 32 GB of DDR4. 2TB Hard Drive. RGB is not needed but would like it so I can see through the side panel. Fan cooling, modular power and can have CPU overclocked. Also I want it to be as cheap as possible. I have a i5-3570k 3.40GHz, 16GB DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti, 1 TB Hard drive, and 500GB SSD. If I can have someone help me to say whether what I picked out was good that would be very helpful. :)

EEEE I really dont know  I just have intel and want to stick with it. People ask me that a lot. I get persuaded easily on things and they they mostly give me "facts" but it turns out to be there option. So I am looking for multi sites that compare them but until I find the sites I am going with intel.

You're not looking.  There are innumerable videos on YouTube about this, by everyone.

 

Do your research. You have fantastic chips available to you on either side, don't stick with one just cuz.

It looks like since you're rocking an older Intel build that you're an Intel fanboy (along with like the entire gaming community from that time period).

 

Look at some benchmarks, and specs. Overall the 3000 series Ryzen is a much better bang for your buck option, and overall is a better CPU IMO. That's why it's so popular, and Intel is the laughing stock right now.

 

But it's your money at the end of the day, and you can spend it how you see fit.
