Quick question regarding uninstalling / upgrading RAM

Hello fellow geeks. Hope you are all well.

Should I disable DOCP before removing 3000MHZ Ram sticks and then install 3200MHZ sticks or I can just take Ram sticks out and put in 3200MHZ and change settings in BIOS before booting up?

I already removed the sticks without disabling DOCP Profile (XMP) so I'm really asking is it ok to just put 3200MHZ sticks or should I put slower ones back in and change to default Ram speed profile ( Non overclocked)...??

Now this is for a different rig, not mine.

ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F

Ryzen 5 2600 with stock wraith stealth cooler

16gb (2 X 8GB) Corsair Vengeance 3000MHZ DDR4

Looking to swap ram sticks to

16GB (2x 8GB) Crucial Ballistix 3200MHZ

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 | Motherboard: ASUS Prime X570-P | RAM: 2x8GB DDR4 3600MHz Corsair | GPU: Gigabyte RX 5700 XT GAMING OC | PSU: Corsair TX650M 650W | Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital Black | Cooler: Wraith Prism RGB | SSD: CORSAIR MP510 500GB + CRUCIAL P1 1TB | HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 6TB | Monitor: MSI Optix AG32CQ CURVED 1440P 144HZ

I think the BIOS will reconize that there is new RAM and reset it's settings.

Just to be sure i'd disable DOCP before removing the old sticks. Otherwise it might not boot and you'd have to clear CMOS to get back into the BIOS with the new RAM.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Thanks for the quick answer TofuHaroto. I'm a big fan of Japanese culture hence my channel's name on Youtube.

TBH I did a teardown for the PC Im talking about. Its my wife's PC and Im gonna put it in a different PC case and I thought I might as well put in faster RAM that I had lying around. I'm gonna build it today.

I work in a school as my day job here in the UK but in my free time I do some gaming and tech videos on Youtube inspired by LTT and Jayztwocents etc., its not a monetised channel.

Just want feedback from ppl on how I am doing as a noob.

If you got a sec please rate my work in the comments and stay tuned for the build video later today or tomorrow.

Im just waiting for a delivery from Amazon for some Sleeved cable extensions...
