Assistance Choosing PC Case Fans

sharknado34

Alright so my case fans are dying in my pc case, but I really love my case so I don't want to just go out and buy another one. I am currently trying to figure out what fans would be best (and reliable). I can go with either 3 140 mm fans or 4 120mm fans. My pc case is a NZXT H440. I think going with 3 fans would probably be cheaper and quieter. I am leaning towards noctua, but I am having issues figuring out which of these I should be looking at and avoiding. I am heavily leaning towards noctua even though they look awful with my black and blue color scheme... The only brand I refuse to go with is corsair because out of the 8 products of theirs that I have used/helped put in a build all of them had quality control issues. So I guess I am open to other brands (so long as they aren't Corsair). I also don't really know the difference between pwm and some of the other commonly used designations for fans.

This is noctuas entire product lineup: https://noctua.at/en/products/fan

If I were to go with 120mm fans I would probably go with these https://noctua.at/en/products/fan/nf-s12a-pwm/buy because it seems like that is the best 120mm option for case according to this diagram: https://noctua.at/en/which_fan_is_right_for_me

I have no idea what would be a comparibly good option for 140mm noctua case fans.

IDK there any other fans you think would be just as good or better? Thanks for the help in advance.

Noctuas chromax lineup would probably fit better as they are black and fit better with your black case.

Good luck though, a lot of Noctua fans have been sold out recently. I am still waiting for them to go back in stock on Amazon.

You can check what each of noctua's fan is designed for here https://noctua.at/en/which_fan_is_right_for_me

My recommendation though is Noctua if you can find any in stock, best fans I have purchased so far.

I think P12s would be a much better choice, cuz they are more universal. I don't think the s12s would fare well with a drive cage behind them.

If you got the cash, then A12x25s in the front (from what i've heard those are the best fans ever), and something pretty in the rear like a 140mm nb eloop (either argb or normal).

I like these brands, if you wanna look them up for yourself: thermalright, be quiet, blacknoise, arctic cooling.
