Possible ram problem

Hey guys can Ram cause in game frame spikes? Im using gskill trident z neo 3600 and have been noticing lag spikes in game and cant think of anything else being the problem.

What is your oc specs? What games are you playing? and what temps are you experiencing?

I'm curious as to why you would think this it is the RAM? My first reaction would to be to point blame at the GPU.

Temps are fine, my gpu is never above 70. Im running stock at the moment. and for example SOT and fortnite

Ive done 3d mark tests and my gpu and cpu got the scores they shouldve gotten.

Okay sure. That doesn't eliminate them as the issue though. Running fast on stress tests and game frame drops are two different scenarios. 

 

Questions: Are GPU drivers up to date? Is this occurring in a specific game or multiple games and situations? Can you explain more what you mean by frame rate drops? What GPU are you running?

im using a 2060 super founder edition and yes, the drivers are up to date.  I dont play very many games, manily just sea of theives honestly. And while gaming ill just get frame stuuters and a tiny little screen freeze for a second.
