So, I have a Fractal Design R6 as a case and it's pretty hot with the fans it came with.

I was thinking about replacing at least the 2 front fans and if recommended the one in the back also, I could then move two of the old fans to the bottom as extra intake.

I don't want any RGB and the fans need to be quiet, as that's the reason I bought the case in the first place.

Anything by noctua is recommended. I've also had good experience with 140mm antec case fans.

There are no mp's on the website I was looking at, but I'll keep the sp open in a tab.

Would you recommend changing the back fan also, or is it fine just replacing the ones on the front?

What kind of temps are hot

It has been pretty hot here for the few days so idle temps for the 3700x are 55-60c. During winter months and early spring the 3700x idled around 50-55c.

5700xt starts from 50c and starts to slowly going up to 60c. At that point the fans kick in and cool it back to the 50 and cycle starts again.

I did some folding few months back and the 3700x thermal throttled itself in 15-30 minutes and 5700xt junction was around 100-110c after an hour or two.

My case is on it's default configuration, as I have 3 hard drives and blu-ray player installed.

Adding case configuration.

Have you tried side panel open? Just as troubleshooting method as those seem very high temps considering hardware.

I have not, but when I did folding I opened the front door and took the top panel off. Those 2 things helped few degrees, but nothing major.

Just thinking as those idles are some 10C higher than what they are supposed to be. On CPU. Usually seeing those would have prompted suggestions to remount cooler. On GPU those are probably normal. If GPU is using 0rpm mode.

I did, back in December / January when I built this system and it did lower the temps ~5 degrees.

I just installed three 140sp fans, and moved two of the original ones to the bottom.

I noticed while installing the new fans that the CPU cooler fan was sucking air, instead of pushing it. I switched it around and now the CPU idles around 43-45c.

Yeah, it should be good. It's not any noisier than before, at least when idling and CPU temps did go down. Still need to try and stress both CPU and GPU at the same time.

running air cooling in that case will always be tough as it is designed to run silent with water cooling in mind. But, you should be much better now.

Hope you like the  ph-f140sp.

my guess would be that you should be able to run you intakes at a lower rpm. your exhaust being the only one will probably need to be a high rpm. but play around im sure you'll find some balance

Side note: mounting the fans in the top as exhaust instead of the bottom intake with the top off will yield best results.

For sure, but it will also make everything lot noisier. The reason why I bought this case was for silence and good enough temperatures, and for the drive bay.
