Hi All,

First post so please be gentle - I have been building a gaming PC for my son and after completing it - decided it was all a bit dark inside to have a glass side.  I didn't really do enough research unfortunately and now have an Aura Motherboard with a four pin connector and a Corsair iCue expansion kit of four strips of lighting - (no controller).  I can't seem to find a UK seller where I can just procure the LS100 controller and I'm guessing there is no easy way to connect the three pin Corsair to the four pin Aura Motherboard?   I have a feeling my quest for a bit of colour is going to end up costing me another £80 for a pack with a controller or if I can find them Aura compatible LED strips - but these also seem few and far between!

Cheers

Hi, welcome to the Forum,

Well if the mobo has Aura it likely has a few RGB headers, or atleast 1, so just plug the strips into the motherboard directly.

ya the corsair strips are 5v argb and your mb is 12v rgb so it wont work and besides corsair also has there own connector. so just sell em and just buy an 12v rgb strip that has the stranded 4pin on it. if you get the other connector jst-sm you will need an adapter to attach it to the mb.

or like you said buy and corsair controller lighting node or commander.

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx

also i edit post alot because you no why...

Thanks - when you say 12v RGB with the 4 pin connector something like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/WOWLED-Gaming-Lights-Strips-Lighting/dp/B07GNHS83P/ref=sr_1_5?adgrpid=90033517800&dchild=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIs76Xjoz_6QIVjLTtCh2NZwQIEAAYASAAEgJR4fD_BwE&hvadid=408133201561&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=1006933&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=b&hvrand=9888137884724726275&hvtargid=kwd-884491291591&hydadcr=26209_1767438&keywords=4+pin+12v+rgb+strip&qid=1592061732&sr=8-5&tag=googhydr-21

Sorry to be pedantic - I don't want any more dud LEDs :)
