My GPU fans are not working.

Andrewcl98

So I got this new card, an Rx 570, but the fans seem to not work. When I first installed it and powered on the Pc one fan was working. After I installed windows and their updates I updated the GPU through device manager. Both fans were not working before then. I thought okay it's not under load or anything I'm not gaming so I thought the fans would kick in during hot times. I was playing a game and the fans were still not working. I sat in game and watched the GPU temp get up to 85c before I exited. I don't know what's happening.

It is a common problem with the Adren drivers.  You need to go into into the performance tuning and manually turn off zero rpm fan mode.   Then set a fan profile.   Unfortunately the drivers doesn't save your fan profile everytime you restart.  You have to go into the tuning area and load up your fan profile everytime as it will default the zero rpm fan mode.

So I reinstalled GPU drivers, turned off zero rpm mode made a fan profile and played some games but the fans refuse to fan. They don't even work when the system is first turned.
